Advising

All Gender, Women’s, + Sexuality Studies students are assigned an advisor during their first semester in the Department. Faculty will reach out to students about a month into the semester, just before the beginning of the advising period, to start scheduling advising appointments prior to registration.

Majors are required to meet with their department in order to receive advising clearance (if you are a dual or multiple major, you are not required to meet with GWST, but it is highly recommended). Minors and certificates are not required to meet with their advisor, but we highly recommend that you meet with your GWST advisor to make sure you’re making progress towards your degree.
